Held at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery, London, The Transformation Marathon (2015) brings together leading writers, thinkers, artists, musicians, film-makers and scientists explore ideas around change, evolution and metamorphosis over 24 hours. The Marathon explore[s] transgender politics, pharmacology and shifting social attitudes; adaptation and the environment; the transformative potential of micro-politics as well as changes in art, literature and design; and the futurology of cyborgs, bio-engineering and artificial intelligence. In its 10th year, the Marathon also reflects on the transformation of the art institution.
